Hermann Farm hosts and participates in a variety of artisan festivals and educational programs which celebrate the history and heritage of rural Missouri. Through exhibits and demonstrations which represent the past and the seasonal work cycle of a 1860s era family farm, the Hermann Farm provides unique opportunities to learn about our rural past and celebrate our German heritage.

Maifest at the Hofgarten - May 19th and 20th
Enjoy a traditional German May Wine flavored with Sweet Woodruff (Waldmeister) and Music at the Hofgarten. An old time German Celebration of Spring. Die schmiedermeister (blacksmith) will be at work at the Hermann Farm Wagon Works on Saturday from 10-2.

Fiddlers Contest - Sunday June 3rd - Times to be Announced
2nd Annual Fiddlers Contest brings the best of old time fiddle music. Local fiddlers will be rosining up the bow for the HERMANN FARM & MUSEUM’S 2nd Annual Fiddle Contest. This contest was initiated in 2011 and in its first year drew some of the best fiddlers from throughout Missouri and the Region. This one day event is open to all ages and levels. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. It’s a great introduction to contest fiddling and a terrific display of old time fiddling talent. The contest will also include a showcase of new fiddlers and seasoned talent of all ages. As at any fiddle contest, there will also be plenty of impromptu jamming throughout the venue. More

Summer sizzles with music each weekend at the Hofgarten Courtyard.
Country Fair - September 8th and 9th
Old fashioned family fun at the Hermann Farm Stable, Wagon Works, Sesquicentennial Park and Hofgarten. Music, foods, farm animals, hen hoops with heirloom chickens, lemonade,
cast iron cooking demonstrations, tin smith, blacksmithing, hit and miss engines, tractors, threshing machine, and Johnson’s Jubilee music at the Hofgarten. Meet Missouri spinners, weavers, and the beekeeper. Sample farm fresh honey, jams and jellies, and apple butter. Quilts, braided rugs!
